Aquarium Of Western Australia – The amazing Aquarium Of Western Australia is located in a coastal suburb of Perth, and contains Australia’s largest aquarium tank. The tank is one hundred and thirty feet long and sixty six feet wide. It also has an underwater tunnel that is three hundred and twenty two feet long. The aquarium holds a gigantic quantity of three million litres of water. L’Oceanogràfic – L’Oceanogràfic is a beautiful marine complex where different marine habitats are represented. It is integrated inside a complex known as the City of Arts and Sciences inside the city of Valencia, Spain. The Oceanogràfic features the largest aquarium tank in Europe and houses more than forty five thousand marine creatures. They populate nine underwater towers, structured on two levels that represent several marine ecosystems. Two of these underwater towers are joined by a thirty five meter underwater tunnel and the tank is filled with sharks, rays and seven million liters of water.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium –  The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is located within the Ocean Expo Park in Japan and was opened in the year 2002. The main tank of the aquarium, called the Kuroshio Sea, holds seven and a half million litres of water and features an acrylic glass panel measuring twenty seven by seventy four feet with a thickness of twenty four inches, which makes it the largest such panel in the world when the aquarium was opened. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept alongside many other fish species in Kuroshio Sea. As of July 2010, there have been a total of four manta rays born in the aquarium.

Georgia Aquarium – The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is the largest aquarium in the world as it houses more than a hundred thousand marine animals. The Georgia Aquarium was funded mostly by a two hundred and fifty million dollar donation from Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, which saw the aquarium open in November 2005. The Georgia Aquarium is the only institution outside of Asia to house whale sharks. The sharks are kept in a gigantic twenty four million liter tank in the Ocean Voyager exhibit.
