DAY 1
Delhi – Welcome to Bhutan, Paro Airport – Thimphu
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport complete your immigration formalities. Escorted transfer by a modern coach will take you to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, we start with a day sightseeing tour of Thimphu, including the following places of interest:
- Memorial Chorten
- Kuensel Phodrang – World’s Largest Sitting Buddha Statue
- BBS Tower – Provides a vantage point view of the Thimphu Valley.
Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Thimphu hotel.
DAY 2
Thimphu – Sightseeing
Early breakfast at the hotel and then start for full day sightseeing tour of Thimphu, including the following places of interest:
- Simply Bhutan- Get Dressed in Local Dress & enjoy local lunch & drinks
- Royal Textile Academy from outside
- Handicrafts Market
Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Thimphu hotel.
DAY 3
Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel then check out from the hotel and and proceed for Punakha. En-route, halt at Dochu La – A mountain pass leading further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snow-capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquillity of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. Enjoy lunch at newly open restaurant Druk Wangyel Café (at own cost). Before check-in at hotel visit the following places:
- Chimi Lhakang
- Punakha Dzong
- Suspension Bridge
Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Punakha hotel.
DAY 4
Punakha – Paro
Breakfast at hotel restaurant. After breakfast check-out from hotel and transfer to Paro. The Paro valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom upto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley. After checking into your hotel, you would proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro which would include the following places:
- Kichu Lhakang – Famous Monastery in Paro
- Free Time for shopping
Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Punakha hotel.
DAY 5
Paro – Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for day excursion tour of Taktsang Monastery – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour will be optional since it requires 2-3 hours trekking to reach the Monastery. Ponies are available for hiring (additional cost).
We are also visiting local farm house where will experience stone bath, Archery & local lunch. Dinner at hotel restaurant. Overnight stay in Punakha hotel.
DAY 6
Paro – Final Departure
After breakfast check-out and proceed to Paro International airport for your flight to Delhi.
