Welcome to Reykjavik-Gateway to Iceland. Reykjavík is a city of bold contrasts: it is both cosmopolitan and a small-town; vibrant and sophisticated; young-at-heart and yet full of history.
On arrival, transfer to central hotel via Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland. Relax at Blue Lagoon with a glass of wine with premium amenities, enjoy an international lunch & get away with all tiredness of your long flight to Reykjavik
Later transfer to your city centre hotel. Check-in & free time to settle. In the evening, we explore the downtown 101 District of Reykjavik which is the centre of Rich Art & Culture scene & then head for dinner.

After breakfast, departure with an experienced guide for the Golden Circle tour. During the Golden Circle tour we will visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sites, starting with the Geysir geothermal area where the Strokkur geyser shoots a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes, in a thrilling display of nature’s forces. The visit continues with Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, created by the river Hvítá, which tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 32 m (105 ft.) deep.
The Golden Circle tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is the Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimetres per year.
Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the idyllic, Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where you can learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance.

After breakfast, we leave to admire the dramatic fjord landscape and its tiny fishing villages at the end of twisty roads in the East Fjords and on route we visit an interesting stone and mineral collection. In the afternoon, we see Vatnajökull – Europe’s biggest glacier that is visible all over Southeast Iceland. Past the town of Höfn, we stop at Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs, and we explore the extraordinary site and might see seals swimming in arctic waters. You can walk on the black sandy beach where large icebergs get stranded. Enjoy a boat trip at Jökulsárlón- glacial lagoon. We travel along the southern part of the glacier Vatnajökull and spend time at Europe’s largest national park, which has Iceland’s highest mountains, an alpine environment and Europe’s largest glacier.

We start the day early! A long drive head of us from south of Iceland to the north. We will stop on our way by Mývatn and enjoy the the day exploring Lake Mývatn, a fascinating area for birders and geologists. The lake attracts a large variety of birds (especially in June). The nearby Krafla volcano has created interesting features such as Dimmuborgir’s Dark Citadels of lava, the Skútustaðir pseudo-craters, the Námafjall bubbling earth pits and the Hverfjall crater. We will also stop by Dettifoss waterfall along the way or post arrival at the hotel you can take a walk to downtown Akureyri. It’s a charming town of 17000 inhabitants.

Visit the botanical garden and enjoy the panoramic view over Eyjafjörður fjord.
From Akureyri, the trip continues to Húsavík. This fishing village is famous for its excellent whale watching opportunities. After a long day we come back to Akureyri where we have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, the bus drives us towards Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We drive though the beautiful Skagafjörður district where we visit the regional folk museum at Glaumbær for an insight into Icelandic 18th and 19th century farm life. Onwards to Reykjavik.
Overnight in Flamnes & Dinner
After breakfast, city tour of Reykjavik. On this tour, you will get the highlights of the history and culture of Iceland‘s capital. You will stop at Hallgrímskirkja church, Perlan with its fabulous viewing deck, Höfði house where Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986 to begin the process of ending the Cold War and Harpa concert hall. The guide will provide you with all the essential information regarding Reykjavík‘s rich culture, history and natural environment. The essential introduction to Iceland‘s capital!
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight back home with happy memories of your Icelandic vacation.
